I use the Pentachom unit for "maintenance" after I had the PinPointe FootLaser treatment done on my feet.
To me, this is the "secret combination" for longer-term or more serious cases of toenail fungus.
Pentachom on its own did not take care of my 30+ year case of toenail fungus. But, as an after-care, twice a day booster to keep the fungus from re-establishing itself, it has been fantastic!
I end each day by putting some Vicks Vapo-Rub under each toenail before bed and that sum total each day has my toenails looking better than they have in decades!
The folks at Dermachom have been fantastic to work with and back their products well.
If there is one weakness I see with the Pentachom device, it's the hinge. Using the device for the feet probably causes more strain on the hinge, but my solution was to affix a zip-tie across the hinge from (while looking at the side view of the hinge) top right to bottom left. This allows you to substantially strengthen the hinge. Works well for me, anyway.
Dermachom was great about replacing my first unit when the unsupported hinge broke. Props to them.
Finally, I found a solution to both get rid of and keep toenail fungus away!
Be patient and keep at it every day. As with many things, this is the key to success.

User friendly. Love the different light wavelength settings. The desinfecting setting is great, love the fact the machine is clean and ready to use after 7 min. Too early to tell it works but based on other users experiences, I don't see why it shouldn't work in my case.

I've been holding off on my review to ensure this machine could do the job. I have been using it once to twice a day about 90% of the time. There was a huge difference in the first week, but then I had to be patient as the toes were recovering. The right foot is almost completely healed. The left foot is more stubborn, but this foot has the bigger problem. In the last few weeks, I've noticed that the big toe is starting to flatten out. There isn't such a huge bump under the toenail. I can finally see healthy toenail growth. This is not a quick fix. I've been using it for almost 7 months, but I continue because I do see it healing. I also use the gel accelerator. Mine last for about 3 weeks. In my opinion, it is worth it if you are committed.
